Kaleena Smith smiling in her ISO WRLD jersey

SPECIAL KAY

An invitation to help shape a film about Kaleena Smith.

8 to 10 minute pilotYouTube + social teasers

We would like to make a film that gives people time with Kaleena as she experiences her final year of high school. Her basketball career brings us into the story. What she cares about, the people around her, and the choices she is making will help us discover what the film should follow.

Our first step is a conversation with you. We want to hear what feels important now, what you are looking forward to, and what you would want a film about this chapter to understand. Your answers will shape the story we develop.

The story

We are interested in what matters to you in this particular year. It might involve a relationship changing, a responsibility you are taking on, something you want to make time for, or a goal people rarely ask about. It could also be something we have not considered.

Looking ahead

What are you most looking forward to before graduation?

This chapter

What feels different about this year?

Your people

Who understands you in a way the public does not?

Your choices

What would you like to choose or do for yourself?

Family, friends, school, and basketball can all be part of the conversation. We would like to hear specific memories and recent moments in your own words. There is no need to arrive with polished answers or an inspirational message.

There is no finished personal storyline to agree to today. The discovery session is a chance to meet, ask questions, correct our assumptions, and explore whether this feels right for you.

The approach

How the session will work

01

A CONVERSATION

We suggest a 45 to 60 minute conversation with Kaleena, followed by shorter conversations with parents or other family members if they would like to participate. These can happen separately or at another time. We will agree together who is present.

02

You set the pace

You can skip a question, take a break, or tell us an area is private. We will ask before exploring a sensitive subject. We welcome corrections and a different view of anything we have suggested.

03

A story we can follow

After discovery, we will develop a focused pilot proposal around a question that matters to Kaleena and a situation we can honestly film. We will return with the idea, the people and places involved, and a practical filming plan to discuss together.

In your own words

We want to understand the life you are actually living. A meaningful story can include joy, curiosity, affection, or change. You do not need a painful experience to make this conversation worthwhile.

We will explain any note-taking or recording before we begin and ask permission. Discovery recordings, if agreed, will be for internal story development. Any proposed public use would require a separate agreement.

The approach will combine conversation with real activities and relationships. We will agree filming access and personal boundaries before production. Participation, permissions, review arrangements, and release terms will be discussed separately; this introduction is not a release or contract.

Partnership potential

What happens afterward

The first film

An 8 to 10 minute pilot for YouTube, supported by short social teasers. Big Guard plans to fund the pilot. We are aiming to begin filming in November 2026, subject to your availability and an agreed plan.

The wider opportunity

The pilot is intended to show what this series could become and support a conversation with Kellogg’s about funding future episodes. Further sponsorship has not been confirmed. Our aim is a story that remains meaningful beyond one game or season.

If the series continues, future chapters could explore new experiences through college and later stages of her career. Each would depend on Kaleena’s interests, access, and a new production and funding plan.

Before we meet

Nothing needs to be prepared or sent in advance. If you would like, think of a recent moment that mattered to you, a person whose perspective we should hear, or something you would want us to understand before filming.

You may also have a photograph, home video, or everyday object that helps tell a memory. Mentioning it is enough for now. We will discuss any sharing or permission separately.

Special Kay

What would you want this film to understand about this chapter of your life?

Please bring your questions about the process, the film, or the partnership. We will make time for them before discussing next steps.
